Success at The Edmonton Heritage Festival 2018

Edmonton Heritage Days Scandinavian Pavilion 2018

Once again DANIA and our sister organization Scandinavian Heritage Society of Edmonton participated at the annual Edmonton Heritage Festival. As one of the founding members of the festival, expectations are always high for the Scandinavian Heritage Society, and our pavilion is a highlight for many visitors. To keep the interest the society changes the theme annually and this year we ended up presenting Norse mythology and Gods for the more than 345.000 visitors at this year’s festival. It was an astounding success with many highlights such as our Folk Dancers, live Vikings, and Scandinavia foods. The society was handed two awards for their hard work, Hon. Mention in the category Arts & Crafts, and a 2nd place in the Vignette category.
